It's a chronic problem in progressive activism that people gravitate to national issues and national candidates while ignoring the important campaigns that are going on right in their own neighborhoods. Progressives have forgotten about the US Congress, to their own peril. The Republican-led Congress we see today is the most radical and dangerous political body that America has witnessed in many generations.

If you live in New York, the senators listed below are supposed to be representing you. We urge you to contact them and put them on notice that you expect them to be more responsive and responsible to the progressive values of liberty, equality, and fairness that are the bedrock traditional values of America.

One of the members of the House of Representatives listed below is also your representative in Congress. House districts are relatively small, so dedicated citizens can have an impact on the way that their representatives vote in Congress. Find your district below, and get in touch with your representative's office. Let your representative in the House of Representatives know that you're paying attention.

The progressive political action scorecard associated with each member of the House and Senate from New York State is intended as a research resource for citizen activists and ordinary voters. Look at the scorecard for these incumbents to see how well they actually represent the values of liberty.
